Integral Yoga

Integral Yoga combines various methods of Yoga, including Hatha Yoga, selfless service, meditation and prayer that helps one find the peace and joy within. Integral Yoga helped pioneer the introduction of Yoga to the western world over 50 years ago. Integral Yoga is a system of yoga that claims to synthesize six branches of classical Yoga philosophy and practice: Hatha, Raja, Bhakti, Karma, Jnana, and Japa yoga. It was brought to the West by Swami Satchidananda, the first centre being founded in 1966. There are many benefits, but some of the main benefits of Integral Yoga include: Improved breathing and breath awareness. Flexibility. Increased focus and concentration. The Integral or Purna Yoga of Sri Aurobindo is identical because the ultimate aim of both is a divine perfection of the human being. The object is not merely an outward or mundane perfection of the normal human mind, life and body
