Mindfulness Meditation

Mindfulness meditation technique of mental training allows practitioners to slow down racing thoughts. The meditative technique helps curb negativity to calm both the mind and it's affect on the body. The techniques commonly used are muscle relaxation, mind and body awareness, mental imagery, and controlled breathing. Mindfulness is simple and straightforward as there is no requirement for oils, mantras, or candles. The only prerequisites are a comfortable environment, a few minutes to spare, and an open mind. Buddhist monks have used the exercise of mindfulness as a form of meditative practice for more than 2,600 years as a method to follow the path of enlightenment. The concept is popular across Hinduism, Christianity, and Taoism. Studies suggest that those who practice mindfulness meditation experience lesser stress and can concentrate better. The practice of mindfulness has helped people become more resilient and aware. The underlying idea of being mindful is to accept the emotions of the present moment without laying any judgment and to live a happy and a healthy life.
