Our bodies have seven main energy centres or chakras and the 'Ajna Chakra' or the sixth chakra is considered the most important. The Ajna chakra is the energy focal point and located in the center of the forehead. When this chakra is at its peak, it can help in clarity of vision, get rid of any mental blockages, and also improve mental flexibility. Activating the third eye (Ajna Chakra) allows us to connect deeply with our intuition and gut feelings far quicker than other senses. If not activated, the third eye remains dormant for an entire lifetime. According to the gurus, healers and academia, this type of meditation is the most effective way to awaken the third eye and activate the sixth chakra. Meditation allows one to rid of any negativity in the body, channel positive energy to fill the space, and increase concentration. There is a multitude of ways to go about meditating, however activating your 'Ajna Chakra' requires self-awareness and patience. With regular practice, the practitioners are able to shift their states of consciousness to a higher state every session. Practicing the meditative technique flushes out negative toxins such as anxiety and worry from the core of the body and leads to deeper mental peace.
